Upcoming trips...

Our youngest learners in EYFS are looking forward to some exciting visit to Blackpool and The Fylde College, where they will get a glimpse into the world beyond school and explore different career possibilities. This special trip will give them the chance to see a variety of jobs in action, from hospitality and engineering to creative industries, helping to spark their curiosity about the future. By engaging with real-life learning environments, our children will be building their cultural capital and broadening their aspirations from an early age. Strengthening our community links through this visit will provide a valuable and inspiring experience, showing our pupils the many possibilities that await them as they grow.

Springtime Wonders: The Magic of Hatching Chicks! 🐣🌸

In an unforgettable hands-on experience, our EYFS children have been absolutely captivated by the magical process of hatching live chicks! As part of their Springtime Lifecycles topic, the little ones eagerly watched as tiny eggs cracked open, revealing seven adorable chicks, each one a bundle of fluffy joy. The excitement was palpable as the children learnt about the fascinating journey from egg to chick, gaining a deeper understanding of the natural world around them. And rest assured, these little feathered friends have all been returned to a loving, ethical home, where they'll continue to grow in a safe and caring environment. What a perfect way to bring science to life and spark a lifelong love of nature in our young explorers! 🌱πŸ₯

Our children say...

"People come to visit us and show us what they do. If you need to be rescued at the beach, you ring the coastguard!"

"I liked looking at bones, we could see them like a real X-Ray"

"I like going on the minibus! We go to find Blackpool Tower and look on maps!"

Our EYFS learners have been on a fantastic journey exploring the magical lifecycle of a Butterfly! Inspired by The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle, they’ve been discovering how tiny eggs transform into beautiful butterflies. πŸŒΏπŸ¦‹
